This album was recorded live after hours in a Toronto piano shop in the spring of 2018. Ryan Driver can be heard here playing Bass Piano, Realistic MG-1 synthesizer, and singing.

The Bass Piano is created by Andrew Wedman and is a piano that has been tuned down a full octave. Lowering the pitch on the Bass Piano creates very loose strings, which alters the timbre of the instrument by increasing the inharmonicity (where the overtones are "out of tune"). The tonal quality is more clangorous than a regular piano, sounding similar to bells or chimes. For more information on Andrew Wedman and the Bass Piano: www.wedmanpianotech.com.
